Should know I don't have a caravan. Whatever made you think I did?
Anyway I am still struggling to get my head round this travel trailer. Is it a caravan or not? It's harder getting an answer out of you than it is a from politician.

Should know that you disappoint me, again. You said that you could translate for me suggesting that you know fine well what a caravan is when referred to by a civilised person. As you will no doubt be aware a caravan is a portable compartment that connects, via a tow-bar, to a car/van which is then trailed around the country severely annoying normal road users by going at an average of 3mph. Now is this the same as a travel trailer or not? I'm beginning to think that the only trailer you've ever seen was the original one for Gone With the Wind.

S/K that the page that kc linked contained your answer: Travel trailer, an American term for what would be regarded elsewhere as a caravan, a small trailer in which people can live and travel.
Should know that I can now rest easy albeit in a confused state. What kind of veehickel can pull a 36' caravan around the countryside? I have never towed a caravan on account that none of my cars have ever had a towbar fitted which would have ultimately made this task impossible.
We go, every year, to a caravan park in Cumbria where we stay in a 6-berth static that probably measures close to the 36' mark but these things are far too heavy to be towed and are moved by winching them onto flat bed trucks. Yes, lots of winching goes on at that place.

S/K - American vehicles were much bigger and more powerful in the 1960's.

Should know that explains vehicles but what about veehickles? I hear that word on those compilation shows, such as America's Cleverest Criminals, but what is it?

S/K - Words aren't always spelled like they sound. You were probably hearing the southernese version of vehicle.
