I do believe that the spark you speak of is recreatable. The science isn't there yet, but life is energy so it's only a matter of time until we master it. Everything we are is able to be boiled down into quantifiable chunks, we just can't understand all the chunks yet.

It is my understanding that it is KNOWN that living beings CREATE energy. It is NOT KNOWN what gives this form of matter the ability to reason and to have a conscience, let alone the ability to CREATE energy.

All of the Chemicals need for human life are contained within the average refrigerator. I have yet to hear that anyone has ever opened the door to find a life form, ANY life form that was not put in there, walk out of it.

Where is it known that living beings create energy? I can't, not that I know of anyhow.

Just because something isn't known now, doesn't preclude it from ever being known.

before I was like 8 or 10 or whatever, I didn't know where babies came from, but that doesn't mean when I was told I refused to believe it or that it made it any less a fact.

All of the chemicals needed for human life existed on earth long before humans did, life takes time. Come back and visit your fridge in say... 5-6k years and see how things are going.

If I'm not mistaken mold is a spore, hence a type of lifeform. I never put it in the fridge yet some how it does grow and prosper on my chees and bread.

Adenosine Diphosphate consists of one adenosine molecule and 2 inorganic phosphate molecules. The bonds that connect the phosphate molecules have a high potential energy state, and therefore is ideal to be used in biological processes

If I'm not mistaken that process isn't creating energy from thin air. It's converting potential energy (which is a state of energy IIRC) into more useful states, but never actually creating any new energy, just changing the states of said energy.


When ADP becomes ATP doesn't it go back to being ADP when one of the bonds is broken, allowing it to repeat the process?

Unless you consider matter to be another state of energy, equivalent to light, heat or whatever ?

There is a direct relationship between the amount of mass lost and the amount of energy released in the conversion...the two are sort of interchangable.

i agree with "myuncle" on his(or her) thoughts on page 1...well said..and thats how i feel. we will all be judged by God when our time on earth is done,the way we live our life on earth will determain if we go to heaven or hell

This is mere curiosity, but how do you KNOW? I'm sure everyone would like to say they're going to heaven, but apparently not everyone is. So, what makes you so sure?
