I have not been able to see many events of biking. I saw a speed bike race yesterday and I do believe a woman from GB was in that event. Then there was that other race, the really long one. GB also did well, although I did not see the finish. But you are right. GB does have some good bikers.
I also saw the womans Marathon. Paula Radcliffe, from GB did not do as well as ppl had hoped. The US's hope, can't think of the name, fell out 'cause of a foot pain. :(

Paula Radcliffe incurred a stress fracture to her leg in the run up to the games but rather than stand down and let another athlete realise their dream the obdurate Paula decided to run when she had absolutely no chance of victory. This coupled with her pathetic attempt in Athens has not endeared her to the British people.
I also have trouble remembering the names of athletes from other countries. Does this reflect badly on me?

I think the incident you are referring to involved Miss R. being caught short during a marathon and if so then no, she got good press for that. I mean who hasn't been caught short and needed to unburden oneself into the nearest drain?

Aye right! A quick search of Australian history - trust me it didn't take long - reveals the startling fact that there is no-one, either living or dead, called Box who has ever ran any more than about 50 yards, and even then that was when they chased a bad boy who stole their conkers.
I once caught a pair of shorts when they fell off the washing line. Does that count?

Advanced washing line technology, such as a whirlygig, has not made it to Scotland yet so that leaves the straight line variety although my memory is very vague seeing as it happened as long ago as last Friday. Not enough omega 3 here you see. Except of course in our fish suppers.
Do they do fish suppers where you are residing at the moment or do they only do disgusting bratwurst suppers?
