A = GMT +1 (Central Europe)
B = GMT +2 (Eastern Europe)

I had to deal with it for 20+ years in the Navy. Stationed in Wales and Iceland (Zulu time) made me calculate the rest of the world from there. :)

I'd venture to say most military don't pay much attention to the different time zone IDs. Unless you're analyzing data from different time zones. Even then, most messages came through with Zulu time on them, even if they came from a place in the Romeo time zone.

Had I not had to use it as part of the analysis work I did, I probably wouldn't remember either. We used location IDs (A, N, F, etc) vice time zones
