I am acquainting myself with a 2006 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo at present and it is rather fine. Does it compare with a Finnish Badger?

I won't go into the quality of the local badgers just now, that's a whole thread on it's own.
But I would point out that you should throw away the D'Abruzzo, it's obviously several years past it's use by date.
