In 1965 I had a rating of around 1,500. Wasn't the best or worst in the chess club. I had fun with it in HS, but not in college. The players there took the game way to seriously for me.

And, the last time I played chess was somewhere in the early 70s. Not many Navy ppl played chess.

I do have a chess game for my PDA but havn't installed it yet.

I didn't pick up the game until my first year in law school (not a good idea).

I use PocketGrandmaster, CEBoard 2.0, and ChessGenius on my x50v. Still, there's nothing like playing a human opponent. At least I'd have a chance.

What, Law School wasn't challenging enough?

I've got the Championship Chess Pro myself. But, like I said before, haven't loaded it.

I've never played against a computer myself. Only humans. I did play in matches where moved were mailed between opponents. It was about the only way to improve your skills and get a better rating. Makes for a long game tho.

I've never played postal chess but it might be interesting to play a game by email. It would be faster than "snail mail".
