Have you ever been to Iceland? Not many trees there. :(
Any surplus could be sent up north. :)

You went to Iceland and didn't visit Gulfoss, Geyser, and Thingviller? :(
And, they actually have a national forest in northern Iceland. :)

They're about 1 - 1.5 hour drive. You could tour all three in a day. :)
With a slight detour, you can even walk on a glacier. :approve:

Sounds cool (literally and figuratively):).
I know Reykjavik was the site of the famous chess match between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky. I think there is a significant chess culture in Iceland in general.

I don't mind change as long as I'm not around when it happens.

I believe Iceland has the highest per capita chess players in the world. If not, it's definitely the favorite pastime. :approve:
It's also where Fischer became a citizen and passed away recently. :(

As a self-declared "chess addict" I will definately put Iceland on my must-see list when I travel. Thanks for the info. and the last post.

When/if you go, plan to do it when they use live chess characters on the large chess board in Rejkavik. I want to say it's in May or June. But, you'll have to look it up on-line. I'm not even sure if they do it anymore. We went once and it was great. :approve:
And....checkmate - I'm last.
