I usually do to.

Once you get to boot camp weekends just run together. Then, after boot camp you'll have to deal with weekend duty.

I don't miss those times.

Sitting around on the ship with not much to do and one 4-hour watch to stand is not my idea of a job.

At my last command I did away with watch sections, had one person in the bldg. on duty and others on call if necessary.
