This is how it worked out. There was another recruit in DEP before me and he became the CO. I then enlisted in DEP and after a month was asked if I wanted to be the XO. I say sure. The CO ships a month before I do, so I'll be the CO then.
I'll tell my recruiter about the demand for a recount.

I'm very glad that I kept your thoughts away from more risqué subject matter but will you please stop stealing my last place. kc and Z can be excused for getting confused on account of their advanced years and reduced mental capacity but you are but a pup and should really know better.
