Wierd that I should meet someone that had a kid that it happened to.
Must be due to all the swimming around. Is Matthew a good swimmer??
He's only six and hasn't had lessons, but he loves to play in the pool. I'm sure he would be, but our only option for lessons is our local Y and memberships plus lessons are horribly expensive
It is two weeks early. Since I'm a diabetic they don't want to risk the baby getting too big. My first was nine pounds, so the took the other two early.
There is a slight change they could take her earlier, if she is found to have knots in her cord. This happened to with my second child. Knots in the cord can tighten and cut off nutrients to the baby resulting in a stillbirth. We didn't know he had knots in his cord, they had just planned to take him early because the first baby was big. We were very blessed he was healthy...had he been let to go to term he might not have survived. Now they won't take any chances...they will check the cord via sonogram and if knots are present they make take her earlier.
