I seem to have to reset my router once a day. Otherwise, it locks up. :(

Maybe Z your cables are just lose.Check wall and the modem. I assume that you have shut down the modem and router to recycle through getting a new IP address. If not you know what to do :p

I can connect to local devices - even with wifi.
I can ping my router and modem but not my ISP or DNS.
Have changed the modem-to-wall cable without improvement.

My ISP is going thru some updates and changes which seem to take their network down periodically. :(
