Of course. We even had computers. :o Not on the swift boats tho. :(

The original radar system I was trained on had vacuum tube type computers. One was installed on the USS Enterprise and the other on the USS Long Beach. I spent 4 years on the Big E. :)

Then I decided ships weren't fun. Especially if you wanted to be around your family. So, I switched to shore based sonar systems. :)
