Oh, I'm sometime mixing up the terms 'dinner' and 'lunch'.

In my language the period where you have a hot meal is called 'middag' meaning something like 'in the midle of the day' even if you are having the hot meal in the evening.

Quite confusing - at least ®

Here we have breakfast, dinner & tea, but in England, I think, they have breakfast, lunch & dinner. To confuse things though afternoon tea was served around 4 o'clock and high-tea around 6 o'clock so where this leaves dinner is anyone's guess. And they wonder why obesity levels are high?

I'm having my tea in the 'morning', which means my first meal after I got up - sometimes close to noon - at least ®

I've had all of those in my travels around GB.

Lunch was always a light meal while dinner was a big meal in my house. If the big meal was at noon - it was dinner. If no dinner in the evening, then it was supper. I'm so confused. :rolling:

And, of course there was the evening snack. :approve:

And that's not even considering brunch. So much easier when we had to hunt for our food and yes I was doing that up to last week!
