I think mine are 2100 mAh and work just fine in the digital cameras. I also have AAA which I think are 1,000 mAh. Both use the same charger.

Not really, but I like the fact the rechargables last longer. And, I can charge them when we're not using them and not worry about the batteries going dead while we're using them.
