My Dear Friends.

I am a fan of all PDAs Axims, Ipaqs, Loox, and all the others Win Mobil platform devices. I am not a subscriber to Axim site or Ipaq Hq for that matter because I have a preference for one device over another, I subscribe because of the character and the friendliness of the people on these 2 boards. I used to go to another PDA board which will forever remain nameless but they flamed so many people and derided noobs I could not stand the snobbery. The reason I am looking at the H2215 is that it fits my needs and price range of about $150 max. These are my needs.
1. Sleeker form factor (I am sick of carrying my H3950 and the expansion pack plus)
2. Min 400 Mhz
3. CF and SDIO slots (on top)
4. Min. 360 x 240 64,000 color display
5. I have travel power accsessories which will work with the h2200 (this is not major but is a factor)
6. BT and/or Wifi on board. (I have a Wifi CF card)

If you know of an Axim that I can find with those in mind(exception travel stuff) I wouild be open to looking.

right now I am looking with interest at

Too Much Money
Rx 3715 (no CF)
Axim X50 400 mhz (renders Acc. useless)
Asus 740 (renders Acc. useless)

Within Range of $150
H2215 (no wifi)
Axim X5 ??????
Axim X30 (not hip on looks)

Well, since looks does not attract the opposite sex, and is only to please you and you alone, I say the Axim X50. However I understand your point as I too had a major price range that I far exceeded. I had to put them on credit with dell, and wont do that again for a PDA. Go with your gut, go with reliability and durability. But one thing is for sure, the Dell X50 line up is sweet indeed. I wish you luck, and hope you end up with an Axim, but I am a little bias!

I think it really comes down to what you wanna do with it, and what your willing to do with it. If you want the latest in games, emulation, full video playing no conversations, then i'd say save until you can get an x50/51v! but if your not interested in games and video, and simple need something for PDA/Wifi Browsing then any ppc will do. I use to own an HP Ipaq 5455 (you can find them on ebay refurbed i think) 400mhz bt/wifi sd/cf/simslot(Though it won't work as a phone without the gsm attenae still its cool to have a simcard slot) solid machine. with Biometrics finger print authentication. Last time I checked its price range was $150-$175 (on ebay).

Since then I really leaned heavily towards HP, I wanted to get their newest H(Z/R?)4705 at the time but it was like $700 and the dell was only $500 so i went dell x50v and I am not dissappointed in the least.
