Well, as most know around here, i received my tivo a month or so ago, and it has been recording a few things so i can finally watch shows that are on when i am busy
So my question, whats on the top of your Tivo recording list? Or, in other words for none tivo users, What is your top watched show
My new fav is Top Gear on TLC. Car show brought over from england that is about 4 months behind in episodes from england, but still awesome to watch for us US people :approve:
I dont watch a lot of tv anymore, but every wednesday Top Gear gets recorded at around 9pm CST and gets watched a bit after lol :approve:
How its made is a good show to, seems dull at times, but then it is interesting to see how complicated some manufacturing processes are :)
I also have my fill on Family Guy and Futurama Episodes recorded to watch at my liesure....I did have the simpsons, but i have seen pretty much every simpsons episode
I like Top Gear.. Mrspsionandy loves it too, and she hates cars
do you get the bit with the british celebs trying to do a lap of the test circuit?

Ah, That is a good show. I remember watching in Britain on my last vacation.
Ok, i seriously did not plan this out like this....top gear was removed for the discovery schedule here for some reason....... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ok you get the idea, i am really upset right now....
And no we did not get the celebs or really much of the good stuff, we only got around 8 custom made episodes
I have been looking and cant find any info....i also have been looking for a boxed set since there are like 6 series of it....but i have yet to find one
Can someone help me find a boxed set of it? if there is one...i have been looking all over...Region 2 is fine as i have a special player for British comedies all setup already....
We have a dvr from Cox.It will record 100 hr.My wife has about 80 hr of British mysterys recorded.I am starting to develop a British accent. The few hr she leaves me are full of NCIS,American Chopper,American Hot Rod,and Westwing.

How'd you get a 100 hour machine. My Cox DVR only records 50!
If you want hours, mine is 171 hrs Tivo from Directv hehe
I upgraded it from 70 hrs as i have some shows and movies i just want to keep on there (like the now estinct Top Gear NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
(i am still crying about it as thats the best show i have ever seen on tv)
Overhaulin
Jag (I miss the new episodes)
Lost
E-Ring
Everynow and then I like a good History Channel Episode or Military Channel Episode that I'll record.
BTW, on pvrs you can usually change the quality settings you record with. I use one of the lower qualities b/c I never keep stuff for the long haul, or if I do I move it to VHS. Lowering the quality gives a slightly worse picture, but increases the record time significantly.
