Wow! I wonder if its legit??? I also wonder how much I could get for Park Place?! The Wife and I just HAPPENED to eat at Mickey D"s two days ago... for the first time in years, and I peeled it. Saved it, knowing it might be a tough one... and the kids eat there once in a while....
i remember my friend doing the game a few years ago....all he needed was two pieces like that to win 1 million dollars (all the other pieces are easy to get, then there are some that are very hard)
so people are paying 15000 to try and get 1million lol (which maybe some will do)
i dunno, i dont eat at mcdonalds barely at all (maybe once in the last year) but some crazy people eat there a ton and some are crazy enough to think they can win by paying 15000 to get a piece lol
there's always one piece in each group (boardwalk, pennsylvania ave., short line R&R, etc.) thats ridiculously hard to get (i mean that - out of the billions of pieces they make maybe ONE will be boardwalk), and the rest, like park place or the other greens are extremely easy to get. I already have 3 park places, 2 north carolina ave., 1 pacific, 1 marvin gardens, 2 Illinois, 1 Indiana, 2 st. james place, 1 states ave., 2 st. charles place, 1 oriental ave., 2 baltic ave., 1 reading r&r and 3 pennsylvania r&r (as you can see i got a little obsessed with this game - luckily ive got the metabolism of a bird ) I saw there are some crazy odds tho, like to win the dodge viper its roughly 1 in 18 BILLION (collect all 4 railroads). Funny thing the million dollar prize's odds is nowhere near that
Anyone else remember a few years ago when an employee of McDonalds got arrested for taking some of the winning pieces and selling them to people?
the link in the OP was something similar. A manager claiming that he got one of the rare pieces. He sold it for $15,100. Page was removed shortly after the auction ended.

I seem to remember that in a previous version of McDonald's Monopoly (it may have been another game - I don't remember) they had some high-level employee "randomly" visit a store and pick someone out of the crowd and hand them a winning piece. :yeah:

Exactly, they give you tons of the other pieces to make you think you are close, but those final ones are VERY hard to come by
Someone's always got something on Ebay. I was thinking
of posting on Ebay but thought, why not give the forum
a first shot?
I am pleased to announce that I have invented the "Six
Day Underwear." Three leg hole openings. Every other day
you rotate and move over one leg hole opening. At the end
of three days, turn 'em inside out and begin again thus
your "Six Day Underwear."
Actually a cleaning agent in the fabric launders the undergarment,
agitating as you move about, then dispenses the lint onto
your legs. When the undergarment is washed, enzyme
adhesives in the fabric attach themselves to just enough
detergent (anionic surfactants) to last another week.
