sd cords? like usb extension cords?

You know how they make usb extension cords? one male and one female end. do they make an extension cord for sd cards? one end would be like a dummy sd card attached to a cord that you'd insert into the sd slot and the other end would be a sd slot that you could insert an sd card into?

its for my zodiac. I want to get a wifi-card but they're outragiously HUGH. I use the zod in portrait pretty much 90-95% of the time. so I was wondering if there was a cord so I could attach the sd recieving end of the cord to the back of the zod so that the wifi card wouldn't be sticking in my hand.

ABF might actually be on to something, that would be good for the end that plugs into the handheld. i did a google search where you can get a female part. the only thing i can see wrong is that the wire in the ide cable might not be big enough, or uniform enough to maintain a good connection.

why use an IDE cable? Why not just use a USB cable or something? Figure out the right wire combo to make it work with your card reader.

Okay, there is an extender available, but it's not cheap:

It is not cheap: $149. One could cut the extender in two and splice a cable in the middle.

However, it may not work, as the voltages, noise, signal timing, etc would all be affected by the addtion of the cable.
