Cool Why you shouldn't put CDs in microwaves!

Always wanted to try microwaving CDs? Well I finally remembered to try it and have a little fun. I had a stack of bad CDs to destroy and wondered what was the best way to do it. So I just poped a CD in the microwave and let er rip. I filmed my endeavors with my Palm Zire 72.

The second video is the most awesome. That sucker was smoking.

Added note: The microwave still works. Its not the first time it came in contact with metal.[accident]

What does that do to your microwave? My wife would have a hissy-fit!

Yeah, I've been doing that for years destroying unwanted CDs. Just remember don't set the time for too long. I only do that for 2-3 seconds.

Actually they aren't too bad tasting, sauerkraut and deli mustard on a soft roll.

A bid dull tasting without their data!

I have done it before, but I never left one in too long. Anyone here willing to share a bit of personal experience there?

Just wrap it in tin-foil first. No problems :)
