12 Days Of Christmas Claymation is finished!

The 12 Days of Christmas Claymation is finished!
It is up on my site for all that want to see it.
It is kind of big (21 MB) but it isn't too bad if you're on broadband.

Let me know if it is too big and I can put up a slightly lower quality copy that is smaller.

The Snowman Claymation is still up there too.

They are both here:

I thought we were planning to add music (maybe we still are?) but she says we are going to show it to her family and have them sing to it while it plays.

Maybe I'll do a version with audio too... Or maybe record her family singing along :)

Thanks everyone!

This is really neat. It has been a long time since I have seen any clay-mation stuff. Brings back memory of the good ol' days. hehe. Did you use a regular video camera to shoot it? I have been looking at making some videos, but haven't decided what kind of software to use for video editing.

I used a regular digital camera (Nikon 8700). Took a bunch of pictures and turned them into a movie with Microsoft Movie Maker that comes free with Windows XP. I did each day as a separate movie so I could keep reusing it easily throughout the song.

Had a bit of trouble with the words (trying to remember how many of what each day) myself. So, I hope I ended up getting it right.

Wow! I have used 1.22 GB of bandwidth on my site over the last week!
I don't think I have ever used more than about 200 MB a month before!

Very cool.

SOMEONE has, er, HAD a little too much free time. (:

I like the idea of recording the family singing along and adding that as the soundtrack.

Yes, we did (and still do!) have too much time.

I like the idea of recording the family singing as long as I'm not singing :)

That was awesome! How long does it take to make one minute of movie? It probably takes 20 minutes for every minute, right? I'm very impressed. You don't need sound b/c everyone knows the words as your figures act them out.

Not even close. The first 17 seconds that we did took us near 4 hours. You have to take hundreds of pictures and move them a little each picture and that is after making all the models.
