Scary saturday...warning

Hello all! It's been a busy weekend of Christmas parties with a scary incident on saturday. We went to a family party in a rented hall and I honestly didn't pay any attention to the tree. Well.....it was full of glass ball ornaments. The baby was walking toward it and I was a few feet behind him. He fell into the tree, knocked a ornament off, it shattered and he fell into the glass, all in a matter of about three seconds. He cut up his face and a piece of the glass got into his eye. It was a 25 mile drive to the hospital to have the glass removed !!

The miracle is, that glass floated around all that time and he doesn't have one single scratch on his eyeball. :)

What a weekend...I need a nap!

So good to hear that the baby's eye was not damaged. I hope the cuts weren't to bad.:(

Yes, I'm so glad to hear your baby's eye is okay, Wendy. Hope you get some rest from your weekend this week!

Lesson learned too! No glass ornaments while the siblings are young. Those glass balls are very thin glass too.

Glad all's well. Someone was watching over!

Thank God the kid didn't lose his vision. I remember when I was little, I was tempted to squeeze those glass ornaments and see how far I can squeeze it without breaking, lol.

Oh man,

This is our son's first X-Mas and thanks to your tip I will make sure none of those ornaments are on our tree.

I am really glad your little one is okay. Come back rested.
