As you know Festivus is tommorrow. My family and I have already purchased a beautiful aluminum pole and will Air Our Grievances around it.

My favorite part of Festivus, of course, is after dinner when we perform the Feats of Strength.

If any Festivites want to Air Their Grievances here, go ahead. I'll start: I get dissapointed in thread originators when they get tons of help and don't post whether they resolved their problem or how it got resolved.

My next grievance: Basil thinks he can just come into our lives, sing his song and get his 15 minutes of fame then just disappear? I don't think so!

I'm most appreciative for all the help I get! :nw:

My greivence? I ordered some diabetic supplies through my insurance, got online today to check the status and it was not even in the system. Soooooo I called the dr. and asked her to phone in an order of syringes to the local pharmacy. Went and picked them up, paid $20 for a one month supply (mail order is $40 for THREE months!). Low and behold, the FedEx man comes to my door with a big box of syringes, insulin and testing strips. Glad to have wasted the time and money! :bang:

Mine is that we will get warmer weather in my area and rain for Christmas. Everything is still white ATM. No White Christmas this year.

Festivus" was the name of an ice cream flavor (mostly gingerbread flavoring) of Ben and Jerry's ice cream in 2001. Named after the fictitious holiday, the flavor has since been renamed "Gingerbread Cookie."

He's a junior in college... before y'all think that makes me ancient, let me clarify that he completed his freshman and sophomore terms in one semester each :p
He got a 3.25 GPA which is enough to maintain his full academic scholarship.
I suppose I shouldn't make this a Grievance but I will...
My son got a C in Partial Differential Equations!
(I'm very proud of him, actually... he tells me this class was particularly difficult)

It's that time of year to celebrate Festivus! Officially it's December 23. This year we got a stronger aluminum pole, as last year the pole fell over during our Feats of Strength, when one of us tried to balance horizontally on the pole and took it and several people down.

My grievences are many this year. But it boils down to this; if you have a problem with someone, tell them. Communicate. Don't hold it in then explode. Also, if you have a problem with someone, make sure you take it out on the right person. Don't turn around and take your anger out on somebody else.

Wow, look at the people who were on this thread. Where have they gone? Tancerman, OkMama, and Ecks are all MIA. Come back!

I will be preparing the traditional Festivus meal. It will be spaghetti and meatloaf. After a hearty dinner, we will begin the Feats of Strength, featuring wrestling. I hope to beat my wife this year for the first time.

Have any of you experieced a Festivus Miracle?
