Well, I went to college (university for some of you) at 18. Its christmas break so I'm sittin here in my room back home right now. I'm 22 now with one more semester of school and it depends where I get a job (IF i get a job) as to where I'll live. I'd like to stay home another year or two and save up some money so I can get some land and build a house.

My little sister was still living there when I left (she was 13) so I still had some contact. Plus, I sent a decent chunk of my Army paychecks there ostensibly to help my sister but I later found out she never saw a dime of it
The last time I saw any of them was in '91 when I went back to Ohio for my foster mom's funeral. Even that was an ordeal... I had to fight the airline to get the so called "bereavement rate" of $500 plus bucks round trip because, as the ticket agent put it, I wasn't her real daughter.
It's cool though... it made me a much stronger person overall. :approve:
Moved out at 13, back at 15 and out again 2 weeks later... back at 17 when I broke my knee and leg. Stayed after my da died to give my mom a hand, moved out again. Bought my house, now mom lives with me
Moved out at 17 and got a crappy apartment. Missed out on the whole 'going away to college and living in a dorm' time, but my experience working full-time and being an independent member of society was way more valuable. 13 years later, I've got a house with quite a bit of equity stashed in it!
I never got along better with my Mom since we stopped living together and she will concur!
College for a year after High School, then I lived in Finland for 2 years (Hyvää uutta vuotta! - Happy New Year!) then school for 3 more years with summers back with the folks. Got married at 25 and never looked back - except for an occasional Sunday dinner with the family!

Im 21 right now and living at me parent's. I went to London 4 months with my girlfriend last year, now she's in Toronto, and I'd like to join her... Now I have to go back to school but I dunno in what....:S Im currently working for the government without paying any rent... Do you know how to spell BIG BUCKS? ;) But Im saving so I can go back on the school benches.
