Colombia Busts Ring Linked to al-Qaida

I know this is bringing up an old issue, but it is something to be aware of.

The people that think it is no big deal, will say "so what". The ones that do, will say "I told you so"

But it another thing that you might not hear about and can provide you with some perspective. in case you think it is over. In case yuo think the US wiretaps are pointless/illegal, or if you think your country is immune.

Colombia Busts Ring Linked to al-Qaida
Jan 26 11:22 PM US/Eastern

By JOSHUA GOODMAN
Associated Press Writer

BOGOTA, Colombia

Colombia has dismantled a false passport ring with links to al-Qaida and Hamas militants, the acting attorney general said Thursday after authorities led dozens of simultaneous raids across five cities.

The gang allegedly supplied an unknown number of citizens from Pakistan, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt and other countries with false passports and Colombian nationality without them ever stepping foot in the country, the attorney general's office said in a written statement.

The counterfeited passports were then used to facilitate their entry into the United States and Europe.

Yeah this is scary, and has alot to do with whats happening now but with zero coverage, well not zero but I've only seen it in like 2 internet articles.

it's kinda a two parter problem.

1. People with al queda(sp?) ties have been caught at the boarder(mexico/us). juice boxes written in aribic(sp?) have been found along the boarder in some spots.

2. this you might have heard, but us boarder guards have been fired at by automatic weapons by mexicans dressed in mexican army bdus(they don't want to say its the mexican army cause it was only sited and no real evidence). two different incidences i have heard was:

1. A truck filled with narcotics was caught on our side of the boarder and the boarder guards chased them back to the boarder, at the boarder these "mexicans in army bdus" shot at the boarder guards to provide cover for the truck to cross back over. the truck got stuck in the river so the boarder guards tried to get a tow truck so they could tow it back to US side but the mexicans got there first with a tractor.

2. very similar except that this time there was a convey of trucks with suspected narcotics on board and they couldn't get back to the mexican side because something was blocking the way into mexico, so these "mexicans in army bdus" crossed into US and shot at the boarder guards to keep them away. they stayed there while the mexicans unloaded the trucks and hauled the shipment back into mexico then the "mexicans in army bdus" blew up the trucks to cover up evidence.

Also at various different large box stores(and this was around christmas time) groups of arabic men tried to by large amounts of pre-paid cell phones(like the ones that they used to detonate the spain bombs, and also used so that tracking their calls would be more difficult). I think 1 was like 90something cell phones and the other on I heard was like 40.

Osama bin hiden, announced that plans to attack america are in the works, all the above mentioned has taken place, the fake passport thing that radimus has brought up, the recent video tapes(or were they audio?),.......

We are probaly gonna be attacked real soon here folks, but it's okay bush lied and your pre-911 thinking is superior to the ideas and plans and policies of the leadership of the country now who is thinking post-911.

I find it humorous to hear the Bush people brag about protecting us from attack for five years now. What they don't tell you is it was more than 200 years before Bush, without an attack on our soil, and the Bush administration is the only presidential administration, in the countries history, that has failed to prevent such an attack. By itself, it could just be coincidence, but when considered in the context of all the other botched management issues by this administration, like hurricane response, botched wars in Iraq and Afganistan, the medicaid drug program management, not to mention all the economic and political corruption circulating around this administration and it's cronies, one has to wonder.

In other news ... Columbia continues to allow the free and clear trafficing of cocaine and other illicit drugs since they drug lords actually pay the "drug" tax.

It appears the recent bust of the ring creating false passports is a direct result of their failure to continue to pay the "illegal passport" tax.

Columbian representatives quoted as saying "Well, if they just would have paid the taxes, we could have continued to look the other way...."

From Thursday:

Quote:
Two tons of pot found inside Mexico-U.S. border tunnel
...
Instead, as often happens with drug cases, the break came from tips.

The tips led to the discovery of the longest cross-border tunnel in U.S. history, running nearly a half-mile from a small warehouse near Tijuana's airport to the large Otay Mesa warehouse.
...

Jimbo, I'm sorry but you made kind of a broad sweeping statement that's also kinda wrong. There were several acts of terrorism on Mr. Clinton's watch (one of them at the world trade center). Also, several acts of terror towards our soldiers over sea. Also, Pearl Harbor I don't think was on Bush's watch?

Do you really mean to say that the ONLY president in our nations history to not thwart an act of terror/war is Bush?

I will concede the 1993 WTC bombing, but none of the other incidents you cited occured on US soil. Hawaii didn't achieve statehood until 1959, long after the Japanese attack.
