I have an emac 1ghz, axim x51v and a belkin wireless router / modem

I also have resco explorer 2005 and Total Commander.

I have allowed windows sharing, ftp server, file sharing and webserver in system preferences 10.4.4

Things I can do on the axim

1. Surf net via wifi via router
2. Surf net via adhoc wifi connection to mac
3. Access mac via ftp via wifi router
4. Access sites hosted on the mac via wifi router
5. Stream iTunes using WifiTunes

Things am unable to do.
Browse the mac as a LAN computer, I always get cannot connect or service unavailable. Is this possible. I would love to be able to just copy files over without having to ftp.

Would really appreciate any help!

I have an X51v and use tiger & 2k/xp. Have you and can you currently connect a "regular" windows pc/laptop to the mac and vice versa and exchanges files in both directions?

If no they do that first to verify that you have your user ID /permission / share setup and actually working. If you did it in the past do it again to verify that nothing has changed.

If you have windows connected to mac then... I will do more research. I currently have two mini macs: Tiger client & OSX server. I'm just now working on connecting the x51v to windows file sharing. Once I get that I can probably get it working on mac or at least so some testing.

Try my suggestion in the first post. Samba changed in Tiger, and screwed up PPC network browsing.
