I'm sure the Air Traffic Controllers remember him fondly, but if you stage an illegal strike and someone has the courage to stand up to you then you can only blame yourselves. For more info on the late president see this article.

I have to admit that I was in college when Reagan was president and I was quite critical of him. Several professors had us dissect his speeches and took him apart and made him look bad. But reading this article was very enlightening. I am seeing Reagan in a different way. I didn't understand his economic policies back then. I just knew them as "Reaganomics". I remember the interest rates to purchase a home were in the high teens and things weren't so great. I remember the negative things like Iran Contra, and the fact that the Iranians released the hostages immediately after Reagan took office. I smelled funny business. But, again, seeing things through different eyes makes me think.

Dsmithz28 comes up w/another great thread. I'm not surprised.

Nice post! One of my proudest moments was at Epcot two years ago when in the hall of the presidents my two high school age daughters wanted to find the display with the Reagan memorabilia! :approve:
