Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll be gone all day.
Traffic lights that are set for 35 are also set for 70
A couple inches of snow coming down is a nice day in houghton. They don't cancel class anymore here (michigan tech). On the *really* bad days they do make it "optional" though.

Here on Long Island, NY we're supposed to around 17-20 inches by end of the day. Fortunately, my office is closed tomorrow
:) . Unfortunately, Ive got a lot of snow to shovel .

I don't mind change as long as I'm not around when it happens.

Showing my age, but I remember walking over the tops of people's houses. I was in high school in Iowa.
April 9, 1973 -
a severe late season snowstorm was in progress across Iowa, southeastern Minnesota, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. Wind gusts to 70 mph whipped the snow into 16 foot drifts in Iowa. 10 to 20 inches of snow was common with 20 inches falling at Grand Meadow, Minnesota and 19.4 inches piling up at Dubuque, Iowa.
I remember that snow storm. I lived in Northern Missouri. We were out for 4 days and went back to school on Friday the 13th.
I remeber one snow day where they didnt close school, we were all gathered in front of our math class waiting for the teacher. He eventually came 45 minutes late, he couldnt get his car out of his driveway, so he walked, he lives nearby. 10 minutes after he came in they announced that the school is closed for the rest of the day. Also once we had a lightening storm one night, the next day I walk into my school (I was late by 5min) as Im walking down the hallway its deserted and only every second light is on, i walk into my electronics class and half the room is lit up and the other half isnt. Turns out a bolt of lightening hit my school and screwed up somthing to do with the power, we were rrunning on a generator in the morning, they let us go home also.
Here in MAine we used to lots of snow. Like the kind that allow you to walk on the roffs. Anyway we are jsut going to get foot and under. It really stinks because we haven't had any snow before since christmas. I think the winter was really sad this year...
