Handango/AIM Productions Customer Services Trouble

Buyers Beware! This weekend I went to AIM productions and browsed their software. I decided to purchase the windows mobile 5 versions of Strippoker 2 video edition and Strip Blackjack 2 video edition.

After downloading the demos and ensuring they worked on my X51V, I went to the secure page to order. I was then redirected to Hanandgo as AIM uses them as the "checkout" for their products.

I purchased the software and Handango provided the web link for full software download for both products.

I downloaded the games and during the install onto my axim, I immediatley noticed the programs were different from the demo.

Low and behold, they provided me the links to the 2003se
editions that are not compatible with WM5.

I contacted the customer support site and their reply back is that it must be a problem with my PDA and to try dell customer support!!!!

I have demanded a refund, but I doubt I'll get it.

If anyone has downloaded the WM 5 versions of either of these games, I would appreciate getting copies of them as I am now a "legal" owner of those games. (I have proof of purchase) There are no proprietary keys associated with them as they are downloaded as full versions.

Why not contact them and ask them for the WM5 versions?

AIM and Handango have both been great to work with.

Hey Branden, Thanks for replying,

That was the first thing I did. I sent them a polite email asking for the downloads for the WM 5 links. The response in my orignal post was their response to my request. I don't want the refund, I just want the great software to function on my expensive investment. (X51)

Well, that's too bad. Sorry to hear that.

Support (any company's support) can have people (far more than they should) that don't bother to actually read the e-mail or listen to the question that you're asking and just use some canned response that is the first thing they notice.

Frustrating as it is, you should probably try contacting them again and see if you get a response to your actual question.

I had an issue w/Handango and had to go thru their refund system. It was a bit of work but ultimately I was happy w/the result. Go thru the proper channels there and give them a chance to correct it.

Thanks for responding..As an update, I recieved a message this afternoon from a Handango rep who is working with Aim to see how we can resolve the issue. Hope everything works out as I really enjoyed these programs on my X5 advanced. :)

Well, 11 emails back and forth and still no download or refund....talk about frustrating.

Good News...After 14 emails over several days, Handango provided me with the link to the proper software for WM5.

I'm happy with the products, but customer service needs improving.

They also sent me a survey to fill out about the service provided...
