I feel cheated by Dell.ca

Hi all, dont know if this is the correct place to post this, so pls move it to the appropriate place if it's not.

So here is the story. I an order for the Dell Axim X51v on Feb 11 and recieved it on the 20th. At the time I bought it, it was $509CAD + tax. But last night when I was browsing Dell.ca, I found that the exact same unit, X51v is on sale at $399CAD + tax. I fell really upset and cheated, so what should I do? I tried calling the CS at Dell Canada today and ask them to give me the price difference but their CS for the Axim goes to work only on weekdays. So right now I have a night to plan what I should say when I try again tomorrow. Give me some pointers if you have such experience with Dell.ca before or not.

Thx alot
Sam

Dell gives you a couple weeks or so to return the product. Im sure they will credit you the difference and if not just return it. Deals for hte x51v come up all the time! Good luck.

Yeah, as long as you are still within the return time frame, you should have no problems. If you feel cheated, there is always the option to return it. Sorry for your situation.

I feel the same way. See my post below. I wonder If I e-mail them they will give me a credit. I will be getting my new Axim tomorrow so I'll e-mail them today and see if I get a response. Let me know if you get anything.

I was reading the Terms and Conditions of Sales yesterday, and they say there will be a 15% restocking fee for refunds.

yeah they always say 15% restocking fee, but if you get a good CS person they will usually wave that fee for you. Just try and get a hold of them, and start of polite, then if the need arises don't be shy to ask for the manager and give them a piece of your mind.

I'm sure you can get some money back, and i hope you do, but remember when you purchased it at 509, you must have thought that it would be worth it, or you wouldn't have bought it, so in the end your still getting the same device, just you might end up paying more (which i know sucks, but in the end you still have a axim x51v)

Welcome to the way the world works. Sometimes you're lucky enough to get the discount, sometimes you aren't.

3 guesses and the first 2 don't count! :P

I don't understand why people feel that lying to get their way is ok. I don't know if it's from a lack of morals, or just having distorted morals.

Your luck they would tell you we'll credit you the difference on that XPS, lying really doesn't help, just tell them the truth, and ensure them that future dell purchases are likely (which some day you will probably buy another computer) and i'm sure they will help you out some.
