my ebay account hacked

I recieved a notice that there was a change of email address for my ebay account. I didn't click through the email ( I know better than that) but when I logged onto my account there was three sales going on from my account. I changed my password, rechanged the email to another email account, changed the secret question, changed the credit card (I was required to change the credit card to change the email, with all of the fraud that is on ebay I was a bit concerned by this requirement). And then deleted all of the sales that were not mine.

I also have notified ebay (there is no phone number that I could find) about the problem.

Do I need to just delete this account? I have a sale that is supposed to close in about five hours. I only have 12 comments in ebay over the past three years so I am not losing much.

Has this happened to anyone out there. Anything I should be doing besides what I did?

Id start with a fresh account. But this is not a "typical" hack. It looks like somebody knew your password...

If you have a paypal account tied to that, I would check and change that as well. There is a customer service line for ebay somewhere on the site. I know it's there even though it is buried. Notify ebay of the ended transactions as they will be able to at least find the ip address of who posted the auctions. I would also call your credit card company and let them know as they had all of your personal information. Be aware of fraudulent charges and check to see if "you" bought anything. I haven't gone through this myself but a friend has, and it can create lots of havoc. I wish you luck!

Did you login to ebay from some computer other than yours? And be careful.. never open those fake ebay/paypal mails.

it doesn't make sence...If you required to change the credit card to change the e-mail, and your email was changed , who's credit card they were using ? theirs?
Am i missing something?

I don't know it seems very strange. Any why would you put stuff up for sale in my account? I guess so that I have to pay the fees.

I also think that because there is so much fraud with ebay emails a lot of emails probably end up in spam filters so they were hoping for someone that wasn't paying attention.

A very good idea is to have your eBay password and email password different. Be sure there is no way for anyone to confirm anything with just one account.

I do use eBay.
