Sen. John Kerry accused the Bush administration on "Anything he can find"
I'm sure glad he brought this up... as this has to be the biggest problem facing America now. Perhaps he could make a 5 point plan to fix the issue.
:rolling:
Former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry accused the Bush administration on Tuesday of falling behind in its goal to make high-speed Internet service, known as broadband, universally available by 2007.
The Massachusetts Democrat said the Federal Communications Commission was holding up action that would allow companies to use extra airwaves in between television channels that were not being utilized.
During the 2004 presidential campaign, U.S. President George W. Bush set a target date of 2007 for making affordable high-speed Internet service universally available. Since then, he has not discussed the goal in detail.
"Despite the president's promise of ubiquitous broadband by 2007, we are clearly, now well into 2006, short of that goal," Kerry said at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing. "Only 40 percent of households in America have it."
"It seems, incredibly, the FCC is sitting on the rulemaking that will help correct this problem," Kerry said.

Republicrat is third party for those other two parties that make a lot of noise and do nothing. Republicrats yell and accuse each other to prove how stupid and wrong the other one is. Republicrats are incapable of independant thought but square off on separate sides of any issue. What ever one is for the other is against and visa versa. Republicrats think that whoever is not on their side is an idiot. They think swing voters and vote wasters are incapable of picking a side. Republicrats paint the country red and blue.

It's absurd for any political party to think legislation forcing companies to make broadband available would be a good thing for the industry. Having it available does nothing if there are not enough customers who can afford the service. And no way am I letting my tax dollars go towards paying for someone else's internet service. Not exactly what I would call an "essential" service.

Heck forget the internet, aren't we supposed to be landing a man on Mars soon according to George? He probably just needs to lower taxes a bit more to balance the budget so we can afford it.

It is all in the timing.
As soon as the Chinese get to the moon, Whoever is the president at the time will do the one-upsmanship and send someone to mars
