Hacking DVD player question
Heres my question... I have a portable DVD Player (Initial DVD-5820) which i am trying to get it to accept Composite Video Input. i opened it up and think the LCD is a
Sharp LM32019T. Going to the LCD Screen is 12 wires plus 3 seprate others which I think are the power cables. I opened up a composite video cable and striped the wires to 2. now I am poking around the assumed 12 pin data cable with the striped composite wires while hooking up the other end to an N64. so basically, The N64 is outputting composite video which the LCD is suppost to display. heres my problem, i can only poke around while the DVD player is in its menu or playing a video because of inaccesibley to the data cable when its unplugged. But, while playing a movie, i can touch the 2 composite wires on certain pins that the video or menu is still playing but i can see Super Smash Bros faintly scanning in the background. It looks like a TV which is in between two channels. my question is that is this happening because the LCD is receiving two inputs? and seince i actually saw the game, is it possible that it would work if i went all out and started stripping things inside the DVD player to make the composite video the only input?
