My hubby is a Leafs fan ... we got Predators tickets so he could see Toronto play in person when they came to Nashville. Only problem is, they never come to Nashville !! The first year Nashvill played, there was one NHL team that didn't come play here --- the Leafs!! Hubby was bummed . But he did get to see them here one year (and we go to Atlanta every once in a while to see them play there). So I'm Preds fan and he's a Leafs fan.

Leafs fan here too. Lets hope they get into the playoffs this year. All they need to do is win 3 games in a row.

I spent years really enjoying watching what I considered to be the best hockey players play -- Rob Ray and Brad May; led the league in penalty minutes annually. Later, Barnaby played along with Ray to provide some great viewing, although an annually losing hockey club. Players like Hawerchuck and Andrechuck watched their talent-filled years dwindle away. Watched when Hasek single-handedly carried a team that I just knew couldn't win the Cup on his shoulders alone. Got the 'old-school' white buffalo sweater with LaFontaine's number. Even travelled North a few times to see a few games that Gil played, although I was quite young.

Now, what do you say? The Sabres are for real this year? Goaltending and able to roll four lines?

Gonna enjoy the playoffs more than ever in '06. I'm sure I'm a little alone here, but GO SABRES! Not exactly one of the oldest teams in the league, but they've earned it, darn it!

I sure do miss Rob Ray, though . . .
