... not to mention 'roid rage.

JmJSelect, the act of beating the pulp out of a guy is a clear statement of intent to cause harm. Engaging in t
is act with a number of fellow miscreants should clearly be seen as a risky endeavor concerning the permanent health of the victim. He must have known that the life of the victim was at risk. If he did not, he certainly needs to be removed from society.

I will, however, concede the point of shrimp flambe.

I disagree completely.Pro players in every sport have huge egos for the most part. Not all but many of them think they are above the law because they are famous.I have been in law enforcement and seen this first hand.I will not judge what really happened because I didn't see this incident first hand.Speculation means nothing. Both sides will have their say in court.

i don't think money has much to do with it, its more likely anger issues or most likely he probably had been drinking. Most people will agree tiny things can aggitate you after a drink, one of the people i know had his jaw broken after he made a joke and a drunk person misunderstood it....

Also the american football culture allows for over-aggresion, i dislike the sport a lot for this reason, . I may give up and join a good old rugby club (like american football only cooler, minus all the kevlar armour and helmets, you just need some balls :) )

And I have seen MANY "geeks/nerds" act in the same manner, not because they are famous or physically stronger.

but because they are mentally superior.

From article: ..."I was pretty down this morning because of the situation," Manning said."But when I found out I was a Chicago Bear, it kind of brought a little light to the day. ... I can't let something like this let me have a bad start to my football career in Chicago."

Do ya' think jail time might make a bad start to a career in Chicago?? 'specially if that jail time is in LA?! Hope this is dealt with seriously.

Certain individuals who are martial arts experts have to register their hands as lethal weapons its always been that way. As far as football players go their mentallity is that if you hit someone hard enough you can control them and for the most part they are not brain surgeons or rocket scientist but probably get jealous of people they percieve as being smarter than they are when they dont get everything their way.
