I need help making an infra red program for recording and playing back the IR signals. Or for someone to make it. All i want to do is make an app with a simple interface. a Start/Stop record button, a Playback button, and a dropdown of recorded commands. how hard would this be to do? what do i need to do it? any help will be appreciated. :)

ir is weird. you have to check the registry of the device to find the IR port, because it's different on every device.

sounds like a fun app. at least you got a native language to code in. I was trying something similar with j2me and samsung had the specs locked away...
