Supreme Court sets Anna Nicole Smith's heart aflutter

"GOOD DAY FOR: Romance, as the Supreme Court ruled that model Anna Nicole Smith can ask a federal court for a share of her late husband's $1.6 billion estate. Smith was a 26-year-old topless dancer in 1994 when she married then-89-year-old Texas oilman J. Howard Marshall, who died the following year. She lost a battle with Marshall's son in a state probate court. (The Wall Street Journal)"

I'm ashamed to be called an American. With all the B.S. going on in this country, I can't believe that the Supreme Court would actually spend time on this.

I don't think she should get a damn thing. She is as worthless as they come. Seriously, I would have thrown that case out and considered the many other cases before them...

Come on now folks with all the depressing news of the day, lets tip our hats to the comic stylings and review of the highest court in the land. Tour dates for the traveling show will be announced as soon as possible

I tell you, if what should be a conservative Supreme Court FAILS to get anything done like the idiot Republican Congress, I am planning on moving to another country...

Tell me how the Supreme Court is conservative? There are still more left-minded judges on the bench than right. :rolling:

At the risk of breaking my jovial mold here the reason this is at the Supreme Court is to decide who has jurisdiction over personal property. This has been a long standing feud between states and the Federal government. We just get the bonus of more good monologue material for Letterman (grin).
Now back to your regularly scheduled Ax concerns. . . .

Sigh... Are we ever going to be rid of her? I'm really beginning to wonder.

Well ya know, she did put in the time. The old guy realized that you can't take your fortune with you, and he might as well go out in style. She's gotta get something for... well, you know... wrinkles and all. Ya gotta admit, she's a trooper. I just don't see her being wise with all $1.6 Billion. Give her a hundred million and she's good. As for having to hear about her over and over again, yeah, about time to spare the public, as it is tiresome. I say give her those millions, put her on a life raft with Paris Hilton, and float them both to Fiji. Sayonara! And if she doesn't get any $$ from her dead husband's estate, then I say we all take up a collection. $1 from every person in the USA is almost $300 M. Stipulate that she has to disappear and never come back into the public spotlight.

Anyone remember watching her show on E, I think it was? She was an answer on Jeopardy last night, made me think of you all.
