why is florida not elegable for accidental damage protection???. and another thing- dell is overpriced on there website. its at least 200.00 cheaper to find it on another web site. your warrentys are crap and your customer service is crapola.
except for your xps600-service team. anything below 3,500.00 has crappy tech support. the only reason i got the x51v is because i found it new with loads of accessorys and an extended 3 year warrenty for only 350.00 with shipping.
dell needs to work out there tech support problems and stop charging$$$to call!
but then again you dont really care as long as all the schools, buisnesses, and people are still buying your crap.
once my xps600 is outdated im moving to widowpc!!!!!!
if i ever meet the dell executive this is what i will do---
Florida is not eligible for extra insurance for many obvious reasons, non being Dell's fault. The reasons have to do with the unfortunate weather/hurricanes. It's nice to have a voice of reason here mreep. I look forward to reading many more of your intellictually challenging, yet interesting posts.
lol i only said alienware because i forgot the name of the good company--widowpc and i didnt know dell owned them.
they have some wicked sli laptops and desktops! www.widowpc.com
mreep - unfortunately, I've read several of your posts. Perhaps you should think and research before you post... your ignorance shows, giving little credence to what you have to say. I say ignorance, as in lack of knowledge, not as in stupidity.

You touched on the issue of businesses, schools, and universities buying stuff from Dell. Now, think about this a moment, what percentage of their revenue do you think actually comes from Home customers? I, for one, purchase Dell stuff as a University of Michigan faculty member (well, my dad does) and we get good service, good prices, and have never complained about the warranty.
Good day.

I thought it was due to Laws. California has alot of earthquakes but they are not excused.

because of the way Florida's State Laws are worded, CompleteCare would be considered a type of insurance instead of a warranty, and as such anyone selling it would have to be licensed as an insurer and there are additional restrictions that would be placed, etc.
... From Dell's website, one of the discussion groups. I just searched for Completecare and Florida.
