i tryed that. i did a checksum on it and everything. i got a bsod theday after the upgrade. i even followed this http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_can...ce_pack_2.html to a tee. and whats wrose is if i tryed to boot in safe mode then my box would restart. i have finally gotton my pc to the way i want it and i really casnt deal with the stress of getting it restored so i think that its just better if i get it on a disk..

you should look into slipstreaming sp2 into your windows xp install disk. you should have no problem if you know windows permissions, and have a xp corp licences.

Speaking from experience, the disk is identical to the download.....My genuine disk from MS just has the same setup as the download.

Also, SP2 runs faster for me, but that is because my version is slipstreamed. I highly recommend if you can to slipstream it or find a copy of XP with SP2 already in it.

You can get slipstreamed disks off torrents as well. (and NO it is not illegal since you still use YOUR genuine cd key :) )
