Haha, I've done the same thing (one of these days I'm gonna kick my notebook out of bed or something, lol). But ya, I was actually pretty impressed with my eMachines (aka Gateway), cause it didn't really get all that warm either, all snuggled up in the blankets. BTW, Chris, do you have a temperature/CPU meter installed on your computer, or did you just tell by feeling the fan temperature?

Congratulations on your inspiron. I use a medion, a rarely seen german make and i'm very happy with it. It is just doing a heavy duty work while I browse the net and respond to posts and mails.

german is tough!!

I like the 6000s, but they are a bit big for my tastes.

I personally use a Twinhead Rugged Laptop that works great for me.

Yeah the 6000 is a nice piece of kit. But the 600m is quiet possibly the best laptop dell has ever built. just tick under 5 pounds if you have the travel lite module in. just over 5 pounds with the CD ROM or secondary battery in it. i have 4 and a half ours of class everyday this summer and since they dont have wifi in the class i can shut off my wireless radio and go about 5 to 6 hours on battery power. But i do wish they still sold either the 600 or 6000 either one would be a good laptop for my little brother who is starting college in the fall.

Yeah, I like my 700m too. The m205 is a nice tablet, though. :approve:

I too love my 700m

Word around the campfire is that dell will be releasing the m1210 at the end of the month as the replacement to the 700m/710m
