Aximsitex50icon writing today screen plugins

Hi all,

I'm currently looking at NS Basic for a programming project that I need to write for myself, and as part of that project, I'd eventually like to add a Today Screen plugin to the project. What tools do I need to write that plugin (Will NSBasic do it, or would I need something else)?

Phillip

Im not sure about NS Basic, but if you know C++, then pick up Programming Microsoft CE .NET from M$ press. The book has a section that shows how to make a today plugin. The book also comes with a CD that contains embedded visual c++ v4, two of the four service packs, and a WM2003 SDK. All these are freely downloadable but here they are all in one spot. You also get the source code for the programs from the book on the cd which is nice because you could just tweak the code to your liking.

If you need to have your app work under wm5, then ignore my post. I have yet to be able to find a SM5 SDK for any of M$s free tools. However, anything developed under embedded visual c++ can be imported into visual studio 2005 (which does have a WM5 SDK).

I don't know C++, unfortunately. I took a introduction to C course several years ago, and that's the extent of the programming I know. I also use Matlab quite a bit, and it's similar to C, but I don't know how C++ compares to those two.

My handheld is WM2003SE, but I think WM5 compatibility would be good.
