Seems fine to me. I uninstalled Office 2003 then installed Office 2007.
It imported the settings 2003 seems to have left behind after uninstall.

I also installed Office 2007 on Vista. That seemed a bit buggy. I was getting some rendering problems of those new ribbons when composing e-mails.

You would still need to register in order to get the install key, so torrent would just be another method of delivery.

LOL. High level? I don't know about now, but I have been a beta tester, so I don't need the same build twice, but I downloaded it for the heck of it, through the same site about 2 hours after it came out, and it was a FAST download. About 300 kb/s on cable.

P.S. I think Office 2007 stinks though. But I have both on my computer. Its just an opinnion, but its sorta slow, especially if the document is large. (I'm an editor, and frequently work with >50-100 MB DOC files. Also, the Ribbon isn't exactly flexible, and its a bit more confusing to get to some of the advanced options.

Ok, I found out that my dad, while using Zone Alarm, set the internet lock, so the download got corrupted. I'm downloading again now. It says the site is overloaded. I went thru the logs, and found the direct link. OVERLOADED?!?!?! YEAH RIGHT!?!?!?!? I'm currently downloading... lets see........ at about 900kb/s. Thats way faster than I've ever seen on a download, Vista or not.

P.S. Gonna be done in only an hour.

nice speed ksong12, anyway, mine should be ready tomorrow and I don't bother, coz I have to go to bed now, and restricted myself the pc usage for learning reasons, so I wont use it till 8pm (this is hard but I really have to learn for final exams)

A mate and myself had a play with it......

Some really nice features.... voice recognition built in, media centre built in....... really nice interface (MSN8 and WMP11 make much more sense now!) and so on... overall really nice.

Best of all..... best of all......

SYNCH BUILT IN! NO MORE ACTIVESYNCH!

I believe I did a little dance of joy when I found that out.... it isnt much faster than AS however, but it doesnt hang nearly as much.

I have been testing most of the builds as they come out, have yet to test the new Public Beta, but from the last build I tried, they have come a long way from the beginning and the OS is running pretty good.

Still, not something to run on your full time machine :)
