Dell Customer Support to improve?

Just read this article on a new customer service improvement at Dell. I wonder if it will really help.

Not that it matters that much to me, I just sold my x51v and got a Sharp C1000. I thought it would be better to have a pda that works with no need for support (there isn't any support in the US) than one that needs support to work and you have to wait 3 hours to talk to anyone.

"I'll just call you Gesundheit. Well, Gesundheit, my new Dell computer shipped without any innards."

"That is a new feature, we will not put in components that become instantly obsolete. Visit our upgrades section and upgrad your components."

"But I already paid for the original innards."

"Yes, but we have save you the money you would have spent to have the hazardous materials in your configuration by simply not send you them, and you were going to upgrade anyway, since they were already obsolete."

"But I want my obsolete computer."

"Oh, no you do not."
