so it has come to drastic measures. i just have to keep my HD cooler longer to get any meaningful data off of it. i mean there is over 120GBs of data on that thing.
Ive double bagged with 1/2 gallon ziplock bags and got as much air as i could out of the inner bag.
how about pouring ice into a a bag then puting it into a cooler then putiing the hdd on top with the cables connected then put another bag of ice on top of it.
sorry but i did not find any such videos, the tech specs say that i should be fine. plus these kind of things normally air on the side of caution and are a bit conservative with there specs.

plus i have opened up a 4 gb drive that had a head crash and the platter was made of glass.
well i am within the specs and i am going to let it idle for a minute or two to warm up a little bit before trying to access the files.
ya know, this is going to sound like i want your hdd to break, but i have heard of people roping their hdd from 3ft on to carpety and then the drive working again. not saying that you should try it but...
I say drop it on the floor. Seriously - It worked for me (saved my @ss)....
