Dell and "accessories" ... shame.
I've tried twice now to order items Dell classifies as "accessories."
First order was a handful of flash memory cards, second was a $400 Exilim digital camera.
Both times I waited two full weeks for the automated system to tell me the items were unavailable.
The camera was most recent, supposed to ship today and arrive by my wife's birthday on June 10. I've been checking the Order Status every day for two weeks, and there was no sign of a problem.
Today, as I refreshed the page, I watched "Due to ship by 6/06" change to "This item is currently unavailable."
I can only imagine how Dell handles sales of third-party products like these, it's certainly different than ordering actual Dell products (i.e. Axim) which is a quick and painless process.
Shame, Dell, for not having any system to tell me BEFORE it is too late and shame for not having ANY inventory on the non-Dell products you sell through your website.
You have sent $600 of my money to Best Buy. Congratulations.
