Try www.google.com/trends!

Keywords: hoover vacuum, dyson vacuum

Looks like dyson was slightly in the lead at one time, now, 'bout even at the finish!

I'm surprised that nobody on a tech site has recommended the coolest techy vacuum out there. C'mon, how many of us wished when we were growing up that we could have a robot? Well, that's the Roomba, people.

I purchaseda Roomba just for the geekness, but returned it... Turns out it doesnt work well in a house full of clutter.. and unfortunately my kids leave clutter all over. that and it kept getting stuck under the kitchen table.

Not to be the defender of all things Roomba, but don't you have to de-clutter before you vacuum with *any* type of vacuum?

I always just pull out the chairs from the table so it won't get stuck down there.

I was looking into the Roomba but it just doesn't do the job I need a vacuum for. Thanks for that suggestion though.

Come to think of it, one of my friends in DC purchased a Roomba just for their living room. Since it rarely has anything weird sitting around a Roomba is perfect for picking up dust.

Silentknight's Kenmore recommendation looks pretty slick. For a C-note you get a rewindable cord!
