hi guys i just bought the DELL AXIM x51v (after i sold my imate kjam). well i am about to regret the deal i took! unless you help me. is anyone having problems installing med programs from the PC into the device( for instance "stedman medical dictionary")? after installing the program on PC I fail to transfer it to the pda. at first everything goes smoothly than i get stuck on a window showing the following : preparing to install (name of software).

i have to mention that i tried different PCs but still got the same problem. Any clue? help

I had to disable the security notification on my wife's pda for a skyscape product. You can do this with a utility called setsecurity. I don't have a link for it, but it is often used in conjuction with forcing certain applications to be hi-res aware.

Sounds like an activesync problem to me. Try a soft reset and then resync. Or just copy 'setupData.cab' and 'SetupReaderPOC.arm.cab' to your device. You can open and install them from there. After they install you can delete them. On your pc they are in C>Skyscape>nameofapp>version>install.

I am a huge user of Skyscape :approve: and have NEVER had a problem downloading any of the 10 programs I have. Did you contact them and ask for assistance? They are great about getting right back to me. Every programs downloaded easily and works exactly as its supposed to. Sorry you've had such a problem.
