oops, just bought a Creative Zen photo

still love the axim but i cant fit 20gb of music on it and it doesnt have 20hrs battery life lol

very nice player i think. only cost me £100 new from argos, they are £200+ on the net

still cant get used to the touch slider

Thats OK. I dont use my axim as an mp3 player. Although it can be used as one.
You need a new battery for the axim, plus you need a storage card. I would rather just buy an mp3 player, and then if something happens to it, I would lose the mp3 player and not my beloved axim.

one thing I like about an evdo connection, be it a DUN connection or straight cellular link, the ability to access your music via services like orb just makes any type of storage seem obsolete. when someone pulls out their 60 gig iPod, all I have to do is pull out my phone and say. Half a terabyte baby!

my .02 on portable music players. How's that screen on that zen compared to axim?

the screen on the zen is very nice, clearer than the axim x30 but its a OLED display rather than an LCD

ive already filled the zen with 18gbs already :)
