Now that Best Buy is carrying the SlingBox for 132.00 (after 12% discount on the 149.99 pricetag), I'm thinking of purchasing one of these for the cable box. Do any of you here Sling? Just wanted your .02$ before I drop the dead presidents.

I just got one for $170 CDN. It's awesome! Except you have to pay $30 for the mobile player, which is very gay, since you're spending already that much. However, it's really awesome. Buy one, and test it out :)

A free alternative is Orb, but it requires PC be on all the time and not sure how well it works if you don't have a Media Center PC. Your PC also requires a tuner card to view live tv.

I paid more money, quite a bit more ($230) early on in its release. I love my Slingbox. I use it for the obvious (watching MY television), and I also have a camera on my birds so I can check in on them while away.
