Honestly, I've never seen such a think as a headbutt powerful enough to hit somebody in the chest and take him down. Incredible... I've seen a game in the Internet about it..

Four years, then, we'll see. This World Cup series was very much on everyone's agenda!

Like Frenchy said, "See you all in another four years." Enjoy the sport! :approve:

Next year (2007) is the FIFA Youth World Cup in Canada.

Then there is Euro 2008.

Plenty more good international football coming up ;)

Very true - European Championships are often better quality (packed into fewer matches) than the World Cup ...

that is very true.. it's too bad they don't get the coverage and exposure they deserve (only soccer-specific channels play the games most of the time).

Italian Scandal wraps up!

http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/5785596
http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?h...+Milan+stay+up

Ruling on the match fixing has closed.

AC Milan- Stay in Serie A, 15 point deduction
Juventus- Demoted to Serie B, 30 point deduction
Fiorentina- Demoted to Serie B, 12 point deduction
Lazio- Demoted to Serie B, 7 point deduction.

"Thirteen of the 23-man Italian squad that won Sunday's World Cup final belong to the four teams hit by the penalties."

So there's going to be a transfer scramble then.....

Still could have been a LOT worse for the italian sides

Good to see (at least relatively) harsh penalties doled out. So if Major League Baseball and the steroids issue were held to the same kind of account I guess the Giants would be playing at Little League parks for quite some years to come ...

I'm STUNNED at how severe the penalties are to be honest. Good to see.
