It's just Fox trying to make news out of nothing. He was on a comedy show. Not news, Fox. Entertainment. I remember GWB doing a little sketch before going on the Tonight Show in early 2000 with Alex Trebec, making fun of himself. Nobody took that out of context. Well, no respectable news network took it out of context. Just like this one. No respectable news network took Wexler's comments out of context.
Still, no reason to get your panties all in a bunch; Fox is all about entertainment.

I have to weigh in here with my take. I think it's a rather big stretch to think this was done to make the congressman look bad. I watched both clips (fox's edited and the original clip on the Colbert Report), and they were both funny. Fox just edited it in the interest of time. You know, that "sound byte" thing.
Seriously, folks. If you see Stephen Colbert doing an interview with ANYONE. You have to know that it isn't going to be real. Stephen Colbert is not in the business of hard journalism. He's in the business to make us laugh......
.... and he did.

I've always heard communist news network. And relax Reese, its just a little joke. We all know that for the most part they're not communist.

Reese, I'm confused. The whole point of your original post was to claim the Fox is so blatently biased against Democrats, but then when someone suggests that CNN is biased against Republicans, you take offense??
In my experience, for the most part, I have found most news outlets to be 90% objective. While it is true that many have a way of slanting one way or ther other (and that slant typically tends to be to the left). In general, though, the media tends to come as close to the middle and as close to objectivity as human nature allows.

I'm sorry, but you all have it wrong.
Here is what it actually stands for...
Citizens Against Blatant Lies Exaggerated [by] Negative Elitist Western Society [and for the] New Establishment Toward Wiping Out Republican Kapitalism (this being the Russian spelling)
Thus, translating into….
the CABLE NEWS NETWORK
